Sunday, before anyone woke

An editorial following one woman's morning in a traditional hotel room, from newspaper to rainy window.

Morning Edition was developed as an editorial story set during a morning in a traditional hotel room. The brief was to create a connected image series centred on the model’s preparation before leaving the room.

The model was photographed in a white bathrobe and hair rollers while reading the newspaper, sitting at the dressing table and looking through a rain-covered window. Warm interior lighting and consistent styling linked the different settings and compositions.

The final series combines wider scenes, portraits and close details. Together, the images present a clear sequence while maintaining the same location, character and visual direction throughout.
